I used the 50lb bar today. It’s a little thicker and doesn’t bend nearly as much at 3 plates+. Either that or that big lunch I had gave me the power:
Squats: warmup, 320×3, 370×1, 410×1, 430×1 (PR!)
Bench: warmup, 225×5, 275×3, 285×2 (failed 3rd rep), 225×5
Pushdowns bit more than half stack 3×15
hammer curls 40lb x 15
Squat was epic. I totally got stuck midway, and I was about to go down, but I decided to stick it out because I wanted a new PR really badly. It must’ve been a 3 second lift out of the hole. And my witness/workout partner told me it was deep. Maybe that 200kg squat will happen by the time comp comes around…
Squat > Deadlift, once again.
I have hit the following PRs: 430 squat, 290 paused bench, 419 DL (190kg). I think the following is very likely come comp: 415 squat, 290 paused bench, 408 (185kg) DL. Total= 1113, putting above 1100, which is my current goal.
